An autopsy report from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner states 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez suffered her most severe injuries in the torso and that her death was ruled a homicide from "multiple penetrating injuries." Read on to discover the full story!

The Injuries

The report identifies two penetrating wounds: one to the right abdomen that damaged the liver, and another to the upper left chest that passed between ribs and fractured adjacent bones. Toxicology of liver tissue detected a low level of ethanol, which investigators say may reflect postmortem change or ingestion and does not appear to have caused the death. Multiple toxicology screens either did not detect drugs or were inconclusive due to interfering substances.
