Discovery in a Wildlife Area

Authorities found the 54-year-old two days after he was last seen on April 28. His body was inside a 2024 charcoal gray Ram truck in the Sandy Sanders Wildlife Management Area, just south of Erik in western Oklahoma. A hunter reported a vehicle off a high ridge overlooking Fish Creek; deputies located the truck in a ditch, which complicated recovery and delayed identification. One of Christian’s large campaign signs was found nearby. A medical examiner is working to determine the cause of death.
