On May 6, the princess visited the University of East London in Stratford to launch Foundations for Life: A Guide to Social and Emotional Development from the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood. While meeting researchers, students and families, Kate paused for warm exchanges with mothers and youngsters — including a clip showing a child accidentally bump into her in a doorway, wrap their arms around her knees and receive a gentle pat and guiding smile from the princess.
