The stunning west coast of Tenerife, a popular spot in the Canary Islands, was rocked by a tragic incident that left four individuals dead after being swept into the ocean by a colossal wave. Additionally, one person remains unaccounted for.

This heartbreaking event unfolded at one of the scenic natural pools of Los Gigantes around 4 PM, a time when numerous visitors were enjoying the mix of sun and sea. Suddenly, a powerful wave surged in, catching everyone off guard and pulling them into the depths.

According to local emergency services, multiple individuals were taken by the force of the water, which reportedly included foreign tourists as noted by the newspaper Diario de Avisos. Rescuers, utilizing a helicopter, managed to retrieve one living person from the tumultuous waters, although they also recovered another individual confirmed to be deceased.
